To the final day of this month...

January 31,2022

The final day of the first month of 2022 .... Firstly thanking God for these days and looking forward for good days.

First hour - Benedict Sir

Sir told us about the Induction program, video observation, Microteaching, Lesson plan, how to write notes. After that Sir taught us about the feedback, formative and summative assessment and also why , what and how to teach.

Second hour - Optional

Thought for the day was by Safana which was explained well. The thought was

Third hour - Ancy ma'am 

Ma'am gave us instructions on how to use google classroom and continued with the stages of development. Ma'am explained the adolescent stage.

January 28,2022

* First hour  -Joju sir

The class was on Audio Visual Aids in Education and sir discussed many points with us.

*Second hour- Ancy ma'am

 

Ma'am took class on Late childhood stages through its Physical, social, Emotional Language and  Intellectual developmental ascpects .Ma'am discussed the role of parents and teachers as well.

 

*Third hour - Optional

 

The prayer was done by Asmitha and thought of the day and vocabulary by Karishma.

Karishma explained it well and Ma'am gave a concluding remarks.

After that,Sandra took Seminar on topic Emerging Branches of Science and it was a good presentation .

 

Online classes...

 January 27,2022

As per hike in covid cases, we again had the online classes. The first hour was optional and ma'am taught us about specifications, aims and objectives. 

Key points

• Differences between aims and objectives . 
• The tri-polar relation between objective, learning experiences and evaluation. 

After that, Gibi ma'am discussed the significance of educational psychology  and about schools of psychology. Ma'am also gave assignment topics. 

Then, we had class by Maya ma'am and ma'am taught about idealism. 

• The methods of teaching idealism, role of teacher and disciple and its limitations. 
• Present education system with idealism method of teaching.

Yet another online class.....

January 21,2022

The first class was of Dr.George sir. Sir taught us about health chart and how to find out BMI, Waist circumferance  etc.

 

The next session was Optional. We continued with our discussion work on scientists which was led by Bijisha, Ancy, Sandra, Silpa and Nasheeda.  

After that, our principal took the next session. At first he asked us about the covered portions, and after that he took a class on the basic teaching model.

January 20,2022

The first session was taken by Maya ma'am and it was all about the schools of philosophy,its features and aim of education.

The next session was by Gibi ma'am and she taught us about learning process and learning method. The simple questions put forward by her make us think a lot and analyze that more.

After that we had optional hour. The prayer was by Lekshmi and thought by Parvathy.

Ma'am taught us different theoretical perspectives of learning and maxims of teaching.

 They first hour was of Sathyalekha ma'am on classroom communication.

After that, Gibi ma'am taught about Learning Materials and ma'am explained Id,Ego and Superego clearly.

During the Optional hour, Shiney ma'am explained the cognitive view of learning.

Online class starts..

 January 13,2022

Apart of breaking the spreading chain of covid , we had online classes.

The first session was by Dona ma'am and she taught about the remaining intelligence test and Wechsler's scale. 

The next hour was for optional and ma'am discussed the interdependence of teaching and Learning.

Later, Shabana ma'am taught the life history, contributions of Dr.S.Radhakrishnan. 

Our assembly day..

January 12,2022

This day was for us, National Science optional, to conduct the assembly. We prepared and conducted the assembly so that all our friends could come forward and present. The assembly started with the college anthem, prayer, and pledge. For the news, we included international, national, local, university, and college. Other programs were thought for the day, importance of week and the day. 

This day is celebrated as National Youth Day.

 

We revealed our logo and assosciation name: "Horus."

We presented 3 books to our college library. Message note was delivered by Gibi ma'am and through that she told us to 'Live in the moment' and be like a phoenix bird. 

We missed many of our teachers including our principal sir due to illness. The assembly dispersed with National Anthem and we took photos with teachers.            

                                    

During optional hour ma'am congratulated each and every student of the class for the assembly. Then she taught us about Learning and Teaching and their interdependence. 

After this class, the next sessions were led by M.Ed interns. Shabana ma'am took 'Role of education in Society' , Dona ma'am on intelligence tests.

Afternoon session , we came to know that some of our friends and teachers had tested positive and so as to break this spreading chain  the classes were shifted to online till the next Wednesday.

Face the sunshine

 January 10,2022

The first hour was optional and it started with a prayer by Poornima and thought and vocabularies by me. The thought was words of Helen Keller.

According to her, we should face the sunshine i.e, the positives. Never look back to shadows which means negatives. So be optimistic.

After that, Shiney ma'am explained the same quote and asked us to continue the discussion. 

As part of discussion, Poornima, Arya and Safana presented well their respective topics.

Afternoon hours were taken by M.Ed interns which was informative and interactive.

The last session was made special by Ami's song.   

Beginning of Art and Theater....

 January 7,2022

The first hour was optional . The class began with a prayer song by Rakendu and thought for the day and vocabulary by Lekshmi. 

Every person has to face some kind or the other problems and some may have a tendency to step back. But rather than stepping back , each one should face it and do their best.This would make us stronger. 

After that Shiney ma'am  taught us about the science as a process and product. 

After that, we had our first Art and Theater session, which was a whole new experience for us. We all had a great time and didn't really notice the passing of time.

Afternoon sessions were by M.Ed interns which was effective and interactive. The presentations they provided were to the point and easy to understand.

Overall, the day went well, and the Art and Theater session leaves a good impression.

M. Ed interns visit

January 4,2022

After prayer in college Chapel we had class of Maya ma'am and she asked is to sing songs and it was awesome. ma'am also taught us about the Paradigm shift and importance of diverse thinking to create peace within. 

After that Benedict sir introduced M. Ed students of department of education from Thycaud. They came as part of their internship. 

Then in class of Gibi ma'am, she taught us about the different method of teaching adopted in schools for different age groups and the maxims of teaching.

Then in optional hour we went to library and referred the national goals and aims of teaching science. After lunch break we had class of Ancy ma'am and ma'am taught us about the developmental aspects related to various age groups like infancy, adolescence and adulthood. Ma'am also taught us about physical,social,emotional,cognitive and language developmental aspects of infancy. 

To a new year...first day of year 2022 to college.

January 3,2022

After the Christmas and new year vaccation,  we are back to our college. 

Our day started with the prayer in the chapel.

First 2 hour class was of Shiney ma'am.

Our class started with a prayer by Nisha sister and quote and vocabulary by Bijisha. 

“The mind is everything. What you think you become.” — Buddha

After that,  ma'am taught us about the science,  process of collecting information, intelligence etc and we had a discussion on the same. 

The next hour was of Joju sir. The class was started with a small prayer and the class was of e-content. 

 

Afternoon session we had class of Maya ma'am,  and ma'am taught us the competencies of the teacher. 

After the class,  we watered vegetable saplings🌱 

As a whole,  this day was good and that's the end of one more petal..🌼
